Royal Ascot is the most glamorous race meeting, especially on Ladies Day. Choose between the Windsor Enclosure, Queen Anne Enclosure or Village Enclosure
What is now known as Royal Ascot started to take shape when The Gold Cup was first run in 1807. It is Ascots oldest surviving race. The winning owners still receive a gold trophy to keep. Colloquially known as Ladies Day, a term first used in 1823, when an anonymous poet described the Thursday of the Royal Meeting as "Ladies Day when the women, like angels, look sweetly divine." Thursday is vibrant and celebratory.
Queen Anne Enclosure
Is the premier public enclosure at Royal Ascot and provides excellent facilities with access to the Pre-Parade Ring. From the Queen Anne Lawns racegoers will be able to watch HIs Majesty The King arrive in her Royal Procession and the thrilling racing will begin shortly after. After racing each day, join in with the traditional singing around the Bandstand offering the perfect finish to a day at Royal Ascot.
Village Enclosure
The Village Enclosure offers a unique perspective with the Royal Procession and exhilerating racing action set against the backdrop of the iconic Ascot Grandstand.
Windsor Enclosure
Enjoy cose up views of the Royal Procession as it journeys past the stylish lawns of the Windsor Enclosure. This is the enclosure the horses pass first on their way down on the home straight when racing begins. It is here that the roar of the crowd starts in earnest, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
