Day 1
Our journey today heads North, making a stop in the charming town of Thirsk. We continue to Redworth Hall to arrive late afternoon.
DDay 2
After a hearty breakfast, we head to the old University City of Durham, with its magnificent Cathedral and crowned with a Norman Castle. We enjoy an early dinner - the journey is only 15 minutes to Bishops Auckland - The Site opens 6pm.
Performed by a cast and crew of 1,000 on a 7.5 acre Stage - As dusk falls, you take your seat in anticipation in front of a vast stage. The lake is still. You are immersed in the music.Watch Boudicca’s courageous but doomed uprising against the Romans and the clash of Viking and Anglo Saxon leaders at the battle of Stamford Bridge. Experience the excitement of daring jousting knights on horseback charging at full speed.
Witness the future King Arthur’s magical encounter with the Lady of the Lake and as he draws the sword Excalibur from the stone. Step aboard Queen Elizabeth I’s royal barge as she invites Shakespeare to introduce to her some of his most famous characters, trace the bloody outcome of England’s Civil War and follow King Charles’ final journey to the executioner’s block.This is just some of Kynren's 29 scenes which takes you on an action packed and emotional journey through time.
Day 3
Today we head to a jewel in the crown of County Durham and one of England's finest medieval castles - Raby Castle. With a powerful exterior and superb collections, the castle is steeped in history. The land was granted to the family that would become the Neville’s, an Anglo-Saxon family who survived the re-allocation of land after the Norman conquests that radically changed England. The Neville’s gained power and quickly became not only one of the most powerful families in County Durham but also in England – with one of the Nevilles, Cecily, being the mother to two Kings of England.
B, DDay 4
After a hearty breakfast, we head to the Roman City of York. Enjoy time here before we finally head back home.

Our accomodation is the magnificent Jacobean country house - Redworth Hall, which is set in 150 acres of parkland and surrounded by landscaped gardens. The property has comfortable lounges, a Restaurant and the Redworth Bar. It retains many of its original features such as an impressive Great Hall and ornate staircase. The en-suite rooms include Flat Screen TV, WiFi, Hairdryer and Tea/Coffee Hospitlity Tray. There is also a Health Club and Fitness Suite, Spa, Pool, Sauna and Steam Room.
