Day 1
The Savill Garden is an enclosed part of Windsor Great Park, created by Sir Eric Savill in the 1930s and today managed by the Crown Estate. It is a horticultural gem and one of Britain's greatest ornamental gardens. Stroll through the Rose Garden, marvel at the vibrant colors of the Azalea Walk, or wander through the tranquil Water Garden. You’ll be amazed by the stunning vistas, carefully curated plantings, and expertly maintained landscapes that make Savill Garden a must-see destination for any garden lover.
We continue to Tunbridge Wells to the Spa Hotel, set in 14 acres of picturesque grounds - Dinner included this evening.
Day 2
This morning after breakfast, we head to the amazing Great Dixter Gardens, near Rye, one of the finest Gardens in the British Isles. There is a wide variety of interest from yew topiary, carpets of meadow flowers, dazzling colourful mixed borders (including the famous Long Border), natural ponds, a formal pool, to the wonderful Exotic Garden. The late Christopher Lloyd and head gardener Fergus Garrett were constantly experimenting at this great garden and it is one no garden enthusiast should miss
B, DDay 3
We depart the Spa Hotel and make our way to Wakehurst, Kew's wild botanic garden in Sussex, situated in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' on the High Weald of Sussex. There is much to see including colourful herbaceous borders, a series of water gardens, Asian Heath garden, a fine collection of trees and many other rare plants. The Gardens are now home to the National Seed Bank which is conserving around about 10% of the world's plant species for the future. Spot the wildlife and year-round colour in the valleys, and explore over 500 acres of ornamental gardens, ancient woodlands and a nature reserve. Beautiful whatever the season.
We arrive home early evening.
