One of the UK's oldest and most beautiful seaside resorts.
One of the UK's oldest and most beautiful seaside resorts. King George lll whose statue graces the promenade, did much to popularise Weymouth. He frequented the town in an attempt to cure his bout of insanity, this in turn encouraged a monarch spotting frenzy.
With a beautiful sandy beach and costal waters some of the best in Europe, it is easy to see why Weymouth is a popular holiday destination. It has a historic 17thC harbour, a seafront graced with Victorian buildings, a Tudor Fort, lively waterfront and a colourful town centre.
